Project Description
This project, titled “Paths Rising,” involved setting up a steel support system for an intricate art installation at Tampa International Airport. The artwork, featuring over 600 ladders, arranged to taper towards a central point high above, creating a striking visual of exaggerated perspective and powerful upward movement, symbolizing the paths of travelers.
In addition to the structural support, we installed new support brackets and special sag-resistant drywall, which the artist then painted. We also moved existing light fixtures from the upper part of the room to a lower area and reinstalled them, enhancing the glow of the gold leaf-coated walls of the oculus. New hidden sprinkler heads were installed in the ceiling area beneath these fixtures.
